Women's Travel Writing, 1830-1930:
Topic Map Experiment!

The WTW topic map, like the archive, is under development. We hope to provide comprehensive access to all sections of the WTW archive by building a thematic superstructure.

Our current topic map is built using Ontopia's free Omnigator program. The interface is designed to display the topic map structure; it is not optimized for the end user. We hope to obtain more elaborate software to produce a more simplified interface.

To access the current topic map, ENTER HERE. There are 2 points to keep in mind:
  1. Note that you will be led to the initial topic page which lists six superclasses (in caps), followed by two more levels of subclasses. The superclasses to watch for are these:
    1. Data Types
    2. Geographic Area
    3. Publication Type
    4. Social Groups
    5. Themes
    6. Transportation Type

  2. The map is UNDER DEVELOPMENT. Many links have not yet been supplied.
