Note on Text Encoding:
This project enriches its texts using SGML (Standard Generalized Markup Language), according to guidelines from the TEI. In particular, we use analytical encoding for added value beyond keyword searching. In this respect our encoding corresponds to Level 5 (Scholarly Encoding Projects) of the TEI Text Encoding in Libraries: Guidelines for Best Encoding Practices endorsed by the Digital Library Federation. However, Level 5 status assumes Level 4 (Basic Content Analysis). We are reviewing our structural encoding to fully comply with Level 5. For more details, consult our Text Encoding Overview.
